Joanna Lumley our very own National Treasure has donated an item for the The Prince’s Trust on-line Auction at www.sellebrity.org.uk.  It is a  chair from the art room at St Mary’s School in St Leonards-on-SeaEast Sussex which Joanna attended from 1957-1963.

The chair has that vintage look so sought after today, with the added bonus of the fantastic provenance of la Lumley’s derrère having graced its seat on many occasions. Former Bond girl, model, Purdey, Edina and staunch supporter of the Gurkhas has written two little tags now attached to the chair and tied on with a bow. They read as follows;

‘Chair from my school days given with love x x’ ‘From the art room, St Mary’s School’

‘I was there from 1957-1963’. ‘From Joanna Lumley’

A real talking point for any home,  surely a Christmas present just waiting to happen!
